Arnold C. Steinhouse

Arnold Steinhouse, age 65, of Redwood Falls, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2008 at the Redwood Area Hospital. A gathering of family and friends will be held 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, MN. Arnold Carl Steinhouse was born October 15, 1943 to Ben and Beatrice (Stoll) Steinhouse in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Arnie attended schools in Redwood Falls, Cottonwood, and Morton, graduating from Morton High School in 1961. Arnie entered the United States Marine Corps in September 1961 and served until January 1966. While stationed in California, Arnie met Patricia McCormick. Arnie and Patricia were united in marriage on September 26, 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Arnie was employed at Tersteeg’s Supermarket for 27 years; retiring in October 2006. He enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his grandchildren, and occasional trips to Las Vegas.

Arnie is survived by his wife Patricia of 43 years; step-children: William McClary, Ocean Springs, MS, Chrystal (Dan) Pfarr, Springfield, MN, and Robert McClary, Redwood Falls, MN; grandchildren: Lee and Josie McClary, Myria and Maranda Castle, Melanie Harris, Harley, Danielle, and Dustin Pfarr, Jon, Brandon, Justin, and Nathan McClary; great grandchildren: Rachel and Austin Ourada. Also surviving are brothers: Roger (Mary), Montgomery, MN, Leonard (Marci), Bloomington, MN, Kenneth (Shari), Northfield, MN, Gary (Donna), Apple Valley, MN; sisters: Violet (Ed) Roeder, Mankato, MN, Darlene Raddatz, Redwood Falls, MN, Karen (Jerry) Boney, Redwood Falls, MN, Betty (Rick) Rogers, New Prague, MN; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Arnie was preceded in death by his father Ben, mother Beatrice, brother Richard, and grandson Jason McClary.
