Lowell Moots

Lowell Moots age 80 of Redwood Falls passed away on Wednesday, February 04, 2009 at the Redwood Area Hospital.

A Visitation will be held for Lowell from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Friday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Lowell was born September 21, 1928 near Lamberton, Minnesota to Stanley and Myrl (Parker) Moots. He moved to Redwood Falls in 1967 where he lived at the Robert Milton Home. In July of 2008, he moved to his current home with his housemates. Lowell worked for Willing Hands Sheltered Workshop in 1972 and continued working through SEI until he retired in January of 2008. He enjoyed listening to music and watching television, especially “Wheel of Fortune” and “Bandwagon.” He also enjoyed going out to eat at McDonald’s, going to the Senior Center and playing Bingo.

Lowell is survived by his brothers: Willard “Bill” (JoAnn) Moots of St. Paul and Richard “Dick” (Dudie) Moots of Troy, MT; sister Beverly (Wayne) Wilkowske of Molalla, OR; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Dehlen and sister Dorothy.
