Gladys Marie Hirsch, age 97 of Wabasso passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Knute Nelson Nursing Home in Alexandria. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. Visitation will from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the church. Gladys Marie (Eichten) Hirsch was born August 3rd, 1911 in Wanda, Minnesota to Mathias and Magdalena (Ludwig) Eichten. She attended schools in Wanda and Wabasso, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Francis W. Hirsch of Wabasso on November 24, 1932 at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda.

She is survived by her 8 children: Alvin (Kay) of Wabasso, Richard of Albuquerque, NM, Patricia (Dennis) Rue of Carlos, MN, Mark of Rockford, MN, Rita (Gary) Schatz of Maple Grove, MN, Mike of Garrison, MN, Elaine (Richard) Wurscher of Billings, MT, Joleen (Craig) Olson of Eden Prairie, MN; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank; one granddaughter; and 9 brothers and sisters. Blessed be her memory.
