Robert “Bob” Roy Fixsen age 81 of Morgan passed away
peacefully at Seasons Hospice House in Redwood Falls on Saturday,
October 25, 2008. His family was with him when he left to be with
the Lord. Mass of Christian Burial will be held
at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in
Morgan. Visitation will be held one hour prior
to the services at the church on Thursday. Interment is in St. Michael’s

Bob was born June 23, 1927 to Roy & Eleanor (Schieffert) Fixsen.
He lived his entire life while farming on the family’s farm.
He attended St. Michael’s and Morgan Public Schools graduating
in 1946. Bob served his country during the Korean War from February
1951 to February 1953. He was stationed in Okinawa for 18 months.
He was corporal in the 29th Infantry Battalion when receiving his
honorable discharge. On October 8th, 1956, Bob was united in marriage
to Cleo Ann Neudecker at St. Joseph’s Church in Clements.
Bob was a member of St. Michael’s Church in Morgan where he
served as an usher for a time. He was also a member of the American
Legion Post in Clements and the VFW Post in Sleepy Eye. Bob loved
farming. He liked gardening and working in the yard. He enjoyed
fixing things in the home and on the farm. Bob also enjoyed fishing,
hunting, and family gatherings.
Bob is survived by his wife Cleo of 52 years; daughters: Denise
Bahr & Joleen (Steve) MacHolda both of Redwood Falls; grandchildren:
Shannon Bahr of Alexandria, Jason Bahr of Redwood Falls, and Derek
& Jenna MacHolda both of Redwood Falls; great-grandchildren:
Taylor & Kayden of Alexandria; and nieces, nephews and good
friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, and his sister
Judy Forebrook.
